Select a suitable summer hike, some options below:
Bells Rapids – Swan Valley, ~45min to 1hr return
Reabold Hill – City Beach, 1hr to 1.5hr return (Zamia trail – 5.1km, other shorter trails available)
Serpentine Falls – Serpentine, 1.5-2hr return (Baldwin’s Bluff Trail - 6km)
Bluff Knoll – Stirling Range NP, Half day (6.8km, decent distance from Perth, great if you’re in the area but best to make a day/weekend out of it otherwise!)
Other options can be found to suit on Trails WA or the All Trails App!
*PLEASE CHECK WEATHER FIRST*
If temperature is expected to hit over 33-35 degrees, I’d avoid hiking and opt for a shadier solution such as a park walk.Make your way to hiking destination.
Hikes best enjoyed with a party of 2-3, but if you choose to go solo, let someone know where you’re off to!Get walking! Hiking is a great way to clear your mind if you work in an office and reconnect with nature (also a great post-holiday feast workout).
Make sure to drink water, snack for energy and of course take photos of all the beauty that you encounter!
