Bec's Perfect Reset Day

The best part about this recipe? It doesn’t just work at the start of the year. I recommend making it a monthly ritual to maintain that positive energy and good vibes all through 2024.

Ingredients

1 day completely off the grid

1 cup of your favourite tea

30 minutes of just moving around (you do you)

1 chill soak in the tub

1 hydrating face mask

1 journal

7-9 hours of beauty sleep

Method

  1. Choose a day during the holidays when you have nothing else on your plate. I suggest early January, once Christmas and New Year are done and dusted.

  2. Rise and shine early and take a walk. My personal choice? A stroll around Optus Stadium through East Perth. Don’t forget water and a hat!

  3. Grab a coffee and your favourite pastry on your way back home.

  4. Spruce up your space — from the dusty windowsill to changing those sheets. Maybe even your car. Put on some Fleetwood Mac (or whatever you prefer) and blast it through the speakers. The louder the music, the better you’ll clean.

  5. Once the sheets are changed and the laundry is on, light a candle for those good vibes and take a moment to journal*

  6. If you don’t like to journal, continue with a DIY spa treatment of your choice – a tub soak, face mask, or an at-home blowout. Just some well-deserved downtime.

  7. Power down your phone/devices and dive into a good book. I highly recommend 'The Alchemist'. 

  8. Enjoy dinner with your friends, family, or friends who are family. Play board games, and once you've triumphed, get a lovely 7-9 hours of rest.
